On August 31, 2020, NoBurnBroome held a press conference to walk through the highlights of the newly updated NoBurnBroome Position Paper (see links below), which contains many new developments over the past 4 months regarding the fight to stop the incinerator.
The NoBurnBroome experts know so much more about the incinerator project than at the time the Position Paper was released in April 2020. Examples:
- The science, dangers, and the unknowns behind the process that SungEel will use.
- The by-products from the process and how it could impact Endicott and Broome County residents.
- How dangerous it is to store the batteries at the battery storage facility on West Franklin
- The actions of the Village of Endicott Mayor and the NYS DEC and Empire State Development, which are not in the best interest of Broome County residents
- So much more….
